Nowadays, FileZilla Client is the most popular FTP client and almost developers/designers have installed it in their personal computer or laptop. And backing up all ftp sites is an important task for those who’re re installing their machine, moving to another machine or retrieve ftp site password (in case they get lost/forget or don’t remember).
This article describes How to backup FTP sites in FileZilla Client.
It’s a SUPER simple process. 🙂
Backup FTP sites
- 1. Open FileZilla Client, go to File then choose Export…
- 2. An Export settings box come up, let’s select Export Site Manager entries option then click OK button. Note, if you also need to backup all current settings, let’s choose Export Settings.
- 3. It will prompt to select a location to save the exported file. After that, click OK button
- 4. Done!
Note: when we want to import these FTP sites again, simple go to File then choose Import… and browse to the exported file you’ve saved.
