1. RESPONSIBILITIES
- To show outstanding technical development skills within the digital projects worked on
- An understanding of test driven development and related agile methodologies and the application of these techniques to real world development scenarios
- Create superior standards in web technologies, platforms, development environments, well documented code, secure centric methods in web server and database applications, product development/implementation and maintenance-support, ensuring business rules, standards and consistency
- Code web pages using standard web languages with ease and of latest best practice trends ensuring efficient displacement of system resources
- Interpret design and process direction from Digital Director and implement on a project level independently and within a team.
- To conceptualize with team members on technically and creative skewed projects and tasks.
- Have an in-depth understanding of website hosting methodologies with an understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Work with Management & independently to assist with Technical Documents & Client Presentations
- Contribute towards the procurement of New Business
- Keep abreast of Industry Best Practice update the team with any interesting industry news / inspiring work
- Write Digital / Technical Briefs and be able to brief the tech team on new jobs.
- Ensure site development code integrity and high quality control of code based assets
- Working on implementing internal best practice systems such as Basecamp and Mantis for project management streamlining and efficiencies in business communication (internal / external).
- Assist with the management of junior staff to improve their abilities
- Continually work with management on IT systems maintenance
- To posses entrepreneurial skills to drive the business forward
- Extremely organized and well adaptable in tight situations
SKILLS
- Understanding and improving business digital technical standards, trends and identity.
- Excellent proficiency with development environments and frameworks to improve on efficiencies in code repurposing and deployment
- Proficiency with Action Scripting 2.0 and 3.0 OOP principles
- Proficiency with server-side coding languages, such as ASP.NET 2.0, PHP and other OO systems; client side AJAX, JavaScript, CSS2; Database optimization and load management within MySQL and MS SQL.
- Ability to generate and present solutions to technical and creative concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Ability to deliver cross platform, cross browser applications
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines. (Including short-notice deadlines)
