I’ve just used a free software called Ycopy to copy whole a hard drive over 100 GB to a back up drive over the network just in one night. Then it reported to me a list of files in specified folder that couldn’t be copied.
Ycopy is a simple and easiest software that I have ever used. Unlike a regular copy, it will be stopped if it encounters a file that it can’t copy (access denied, system file, processing file or whatever reason). Ycopy keeps it continue to copy other files and makes a note of those files then generates a printable report or check in notepad for future reference or re try later when the copy process completes.
This software significant saves hours for those who are trying to copy files again and again. No more wasting time for waiting and retrying. Just few clicks, forget it and see the result.
The Ycopy software only has 1 main windows to run the copy process, simply specify the source folder and destination folder then click Start Copy.
Ycopy is available to download via: http://download.cnet.com/Ycopy/3000-2248_4-10494065.html
Happy copying files.
